Our Trip to Pennsylvania, July 4th, and Kara turns 16 months!

We just returned home from a lovely week in Landenberg, PA. For those of you who don't know, that is where Peter's parents live. We had not seen his mom since January and his dad since March. Peter's dad was diagnosed with stage IV glioblastoma multiforme in March of this year. It has been an incredibly hard time for everyone involved. He was admitted to the hospital about a month ago due to complications from his treatments. We felt it was very important that we take the family up there to bring Ga and Papa some very much needed CHEER!!!! And, it worked. They were thrilled to see us and the kids gave Papa strength to keep on fighting.

While we were there, we visited the Brandywine Zoo, Moonbounce Adventures, Strausburg Train Museum and Amish Country, and Dutchwonderland Family Amusement Park. We also saw the 4th of July parade in Hockessin Delaware and fireworks in the rain later that evening. The kids really adjusted well and were amazing while visiting Papa in the hospital. It was a proud moment for us to know that we've raised our kids to have such loving and caring hearts.

Please keep Peter's family in your thoughts and prayers. We are all fighting this as hard as we can!!!!

Kara turned 16 months on July 5th! WOW. Can't believe she was only 4 months old last year watching fireworks. She was a bit scared of them this year. She has acquired a few more words, hand motions, and facial expressions. She is just as busy as the boys and she has learned to throw one heck of a tantrum!!!!! She continues to amaze us and bring us such joy!

Hope you all are well, The Cullinans
