Slacking off

Sorry for not posting for almost a month. That's bad. We've obviously been quite busy. The boys have been active this summer with lots of different camps. Those have now ended and we have a long way until Sept. 5th when school starts back again.

I took Kara on an ALL GIRLS trip to Washington DC to reconnect with some childhood friends. It was a lot of fun and Kara was such a good little traveler. That was her 5th time on an airplane! WOW! Boys were kept company by Cyn Cyn (my mom) and their daddy! They, of course had a blast!

I also celebrated my 32nd birthday. UGH! Ugh about the age, not the celebration! It was a fun day. My grandmother (grandma-ma as she is called) turned 84 the same day! We had a family celebration at Mojito Cafe (an authentic Cuban restaurant) and there were plenty of mojitos to be had that night! Thanks to my amazing husband for arranging everything.

My friend Jenny arranged a girls night out/celebration in honor of my birthday the following weekend. 10 of us had a nice dinner at Slice and then went to Twisted Taco and The Derby for more drinks and dancing. Can you believe this crowd stayed out until 3AM!!!! And, I'm proud to say we ALL still have it b/c we were getting bought drinks!!! WOO HOO! It was a fun time and thanks to all the GIRLS for helping me celebrate.

The boys continue to talk a mile a minute and ask lots of questions. They are absolutely hysterical! They have become amazing swimmers (no life vests anymore) and have even learned to DIVE off the diving board. We are just so proud of them. They have grown an awful lot since their 4th b-day. Major, major growth spurts and we now know why boys might be more expensive than girls....BECAUSE THEY EAT!!!!!! These boys are eating us out of house and home! And, sleeping an awful lot too. A glimpse of what's to come during those lovely teenage years.

Kara Reilly, the princess, will turn 17 months old in just a few short days! She continues to mature beyond her years!!! She is a pistol.

Hope everything is going well with all of you and that you, too, are enjoying your summer!

Staci
