The boys were on Spring Break last week so my best friend, Kara, and I traveled to Fripp Island, S.C. with all the kids. Peter stayed behind. The weather was a bit disappointing the first few days but it definitely got better as the week progressed. We went swimming in the heated pool and the hot tub, went to the beach, saw deer and alligators and snakes and turtles, went biking around the island, ate ice cream, dyed Easter eggs and had a really great time. "BIG KARA" was a trooper but I know she will need at least a month to recuperate. We drove home on Friday night through the lovely GA storms. We were so thankful we made it home safely.
The Easter bunny came this morning and the kids were so excited. It was precious to watch them search the house for their baskets. We then went to the 11 o'clock service at church and it was beautiful. Later today we will go over to Pop and Cyn Cyn's for an egg hunt and yummy dinner and more Easter treats.
